Two people are facing drug trafficking-related charges following a vehicle stop last night.
At approximately 10:40 p.m., October 6, 2020, Patrol officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Pendygrasse Road and conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking to the two occupants, Police observed a can of bear spray inside the vehicle. Both individuals were arrested and found to be in possession of methamphetamine, fentanyl and a large amount of cash, some of which was found to be counterfeit. Inside the vehicle, multiple cell phones, scales and other items consistent with drug trafficking were also located by Police.
A 33 year old Saskatoon woman is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime over $5000, Possession of Counterfeit Currency, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Breach of Release.
A 32 year old Saskatoon man is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime over $5000, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Breach of Probation.
