One female is in custody following an early morning pursuit.
At approximately 12:10 AM October 12, 2020, members of the Community Mobilization Unit observed a vehicle that had previously been involved in an evade police incident in the area of 19th St. W and Ave R.S. A traffic stop was attempted however the vehicle failed to stop. A tire deflation device was successfully deployed at Ave. D and 22nd St. W. The vehicle proceeded southbound onto the Idlylwyld Drive freeway and at this point due to public safety concerns the pursuit was called off. The vehicle was located abandoned a short time later in the 100 block of Adelaide St. E. Following a canine track, the lone female suspect was located hiding under a deck at a residence in the 100 block of Elm St. E.
A 20-year-old female is in custody charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Flight from Police, and Breach of Court Conditions. She was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from a separate matter.
