A man has been arrested and charged following an investigation into a robbery and assault with a weapon last month on 8th Street.
At approximately 12:15 a.m., October 11, 2020, Police responded to a complaint of a disturbance in the 10 block of 6th Street East. Upon arrival, officers recognized a man known to be wanted in connection to an assault that occurred on September 29, 2020. He was arrested and taken into custody. The 25-year-old male is charged with Robbery.
The SPS Serious Assault Unit is continuing to investigate.

Saskatoon Police are searching for two men following an assault last night.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., September 29, 2020, Patrol officers were dispatched to a grocery store in the 1500 block of 8th Street East. Initial reports stated that a man had been stabbed prior to the suspects fleeing. Upon arrival, Police located a 34-year-old male victim suffering from, what are believed to be, minor injuries. The victim stated that he had parked and exited a delivery vehicle near the store when he was approached by two men. The men demanded his wallet while threatening to harm him. The victim was struck by one of the suspects with a sharp object before they fled on foot. A canine track was conducted but did not yield an apprehension or an arrest. Medavie Health Services transported the victim to hospital with minor injuries.
