A man is facing charges after Patrol officers observed him speeding and travelling in the wrong direction on College Drive on Sunday morning.

At approximately 1:45 a.m., October 18, 2020, Patrol officers observed a black Kia Forte travelling at a high rate of speed, and westbound in the eastbound lanes of College Drive near McKercher Drive. A Patrol officer attempted a traffic stop but the driver did not pull over. The SPS Air Support Unit located the vehicle and observed it continuing to travel in the wrong lanes of traffic until it reached Preston Avenue where the driver turned into the correct lanes of travel. He was stopped by Patrol officers shortly thereafter and taken into custody.

A 27-year-old man is charged with Dangerous Driving and Evade Police.
