A man is facing weapons-related charges following an incident at a restaurant yesterday.

At approximately 5:20 p.m., October 20, 2020, Patrol members were dispatched to a restaurant in the 700 block of 22nd Street West. Staff reported that a man inside was waving a knife, shouting and acting erratically, but not directly threatening anyone. Upon Police arrival, the male suspect had fled onto 22nd Street. After a brief altercation, he was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was believed to be under the influence of methamphetamine. Officers located and seized a knife found in his possession.

A 40 year old man is charged with Carrying a Dangerous Weapon and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. He was also found to have numerous outstanding warrants.
