A 29 year old man and 31 year old woman, both from Saskatoon are facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine following their arrests by members of the SPS Community Mobilization Unit.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. October 21, 2020, the officers noticed a suspicious vehicle in an alley in the 800 block of 20th Street West. The officers approached the Jeep Compass and noticed a firearm inside the vehicle. The male and female occupants were arrested at the scene and a further search of the vehicle resulted in police locating the firearm (pellet gun) and 59 baggies containing methamphetamine. A search of the 29 year old man resulted in officers locating a small quantity of cocaine.
The man is facing charges of Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine. He was also in breach of court conditions.
The 31 year old female is facing charges of Possession of a Firearm and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine. She was also in breach of court conditions.
