The Saskatoon Police Service was called to the 300 block of Circle Dr W as a male with a knife was threatening people. Police located the man in the 2200 block of Haskamp St. He refused to drop the knife and lunged at an officer.

A Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) was successfully deployed and the man was taken into custody. Medavie Health Services assessed the man at the scene.

A 35 year old Saskatoon man is facing numerous charges including: Assault with a weapon on a police officer, Threats to cause injury or death x 3, assault with a weapon x 3, Possessing a weapon dangerous to the public x 2, Carrying a concealed weapon and Fail to comply with a Court Order.

The man will be held for court tomorrow.

The CEW deployment will be reviewed as per Policy.
