On October 31, 2020 at 9:25a.m., Saskatoon Police located a vehicle that had been stolen during a break and enter from Yorkton, Saskatchewan at 3:00a.m. this morning.
Patrol officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Valley Road at which point the driver of the vehicle failed to stop for police. A tire deflation device was successfully utilized by officers in two separate locations. Patrol officers disengaged the vehicle while the SPS Air Support Unit located the vehicle and observed it continuing into the city. The vehicle came to a stop in a yard on 11th St W just off of highway 7.
Members from the Saskatoon Police, RCMP, and Corman Park Police moved in to make an arrest. The driver of the vehicle attempted to flee on foot and was quickly apprehended by members of the Canine Unit. The male suspect suffered several minor dog bite injuries as a result and was treated at the scene by Medavie Health Services.
In addition to the driver, two female passengers were arrested from the vehicle without incident.
The driver, a 30 year old male is charged with flight from police, dangerous driving, and possession of stolen property over $5000.
A 24 year old female passenger is charged with possession of stolen property over $5000.
A 51 year old female passenger is charged with possession of stolen property over $5000 and breach of probation.
All three individuals are from Lloydminster and will be held for court in the morning.
