A man is facing numerous charges after police officers found him to be in possession of multiple weapons on Sunday morning.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., November 1, 2020, Patrol officers observed a man on a bike in the area of 21st Street West and Avenue S South. Upon the man seeing Police, he immediately turned around and cycled away from the officers. The man was instructed to stop, however refused. He was eventually stopped, and further investigation found that he had a warrant for his arrest, and was in possession of a sheath with an extendable baton, five knives, an electronic scale with drug residue on it, $1230 in cash, and 0.52 grams of methamphetamine.
The 36-year-old man is facing charges of Possession of Dangerous Weapon (x2), Possession of Methamphetamine, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Resisting Arrest, and breach of court-imposed conditions.
