A 24-year-old man was arrested yesterday afternoon by members of the Guns & Gangs Unit on outstanding warrants and weapons charges.

Shortly before 4:00 p.m., February 5, 2020, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit located and were attempting to arrest a man with outstanding warrants in the 1300 block of Idylwyld Drive North. When he was approached by officers, he turned and fled on foot. He was taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit, and found to be in possession of bear spray and a knife.

The 24-year-old was arrested on six outstanding warrants, and also faces new charges of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon, Breach of Probation and Breach of Court Order.
