A Saskatoon man is facing drug trafficking-related charges following a traffic stop yesterday evening.
At approximately 7:00 p.m., November 25, 2020, a Canine Unit officer observed a stolen 2003 Cadillac Escalade near 11th Street West and Avenue P South. The suspect driver parked at a restaurant at 11th Street and Dawes Avenue where a traffic stop was conducted. The male driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was arrested without incident. He was found concealing a rifle on his person, as well as multiple cell phones and a scale. Inside the vehicle, Police located methamphetamine, a pipe, ammunition and cash.
A 32-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Stolen Property under $5000. He is also facing nine firearms-related offences.
