The Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit has concluded an investigation into cocaine and fentanyl trafficking.
After investigators observed activity consistent with drug trafficking in various areas of Saskatoon, a high-risk vehicle stop was conducted on December 5, 2020. It occurred at approximately 6:40 p.m., in the parking lot of a gas station in the 1800 block of McOrmond Drive. Members of the Drug Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, arrested two men from a vehicle, without incident. Cocaine and cash were located and seized from inside. One of the men was later released without charges.
Police subsequently executed a search warrant at a home in the 400 block of Stensrud Road. A 25-year-old woman was arrested without incident and officers seized over $25,000 CAD, 115g cocaine, 27g fentanyl, cell phones, scales and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking.
A 35-year-old man from LaSalle, Quebec, and a 25-year-old Saskatoon woman are charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime Over $5000.
The 35-year-old man is also charged with Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Identity Documents Relating to Another Person.
