One woman was arrested yesterday following an attempted armed robbery.
At approximately 1:00 p.m., December 9, 2020, Patrol officers responded to a robbery in-progress in the 300 block of Confederation Drive. It was reported to Police that a female suspect had entered an SUV in the parking lot, while the female owner was sitting inside. The suspect brandished a knife and demanded the woman exit. The victim complied but the suspect was unsuccessful in the theft and fled on foot.
Patrol officers quickly located the suspect in the 100 block of Confederation Drive, attempting to hide between vehicles. She was arrested without incident and found to be concealing a knife. Further stolen property was also located in her possession.
A 23-year-old woman is charged with Robbery, Possession of a Weapon, Carry a Concealed Weapon, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime Under $5000 and Breach of Probation.
