A 29 year old man is in custody following an incident on December 12, 2020 at approximately 4:24p.m. that resulted in Police deploying a Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW).

Officers were dispatched to a home on Ross Cr of a male wanting to self harm with a knife. Officers made attempts to have the male drop the knife but he was showing signs of agitation and aggression. One of the officers deployed their CEW successfully. The male was taken into custody without further incident and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

The incident will be reviewed in accordance with SPS policy.
