Members of the SPS Major Crime Section have a 22 year old man in custody following a stabbing that occurred on February 9, 2020. The 41 year old male victim was transported to hospital and has since died. The accused is facing charges of 2nd Degree Murder, Robbery, and Breach of Probation (x2). He is expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court this afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

The Saskatoon Police Service is currently conducting an investigation into an assault which occurred in the 300 block of Avenue R South at approximately 5:35 p.m. A 41 year-old man was stabbed and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
While the investigation proceeds, traffic restrictions are in place in the 300 block of Avenue R South. Neither vehicular nor pedestrian traffic will be allowed through that area.
An update will be sent out once the traffic and pedestrian restrictions are lifted.
