A 54 year old female is in custody following an incident on December 20, 2020 at approximately 10:46p.m., that resulted in Police deploying a Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW).

Officers were dispatched to a home in the 2300blk 20th St W of a female threatening self-harm with a knife. Officers made repeated attempts to have the female drop the knife but she refused to comply. The female started moving the knife toward herself to cause harm at which point one of the officers deployed their CEW successfully. The female was taken into custody with further incident and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

The incident will be reviewed in accordance with policy.
