One man is in custody today following an armed robbery.
At approximately 12:10 p.m., February 18, 2021, Patrol officers were dispatched to report of a robbery. It occurred at a convenience store the 2300 block of 33rd Street West. A male suspect entered the store and produced a knife, demanding money from an employee. The male fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured. With the assistance of witnesses, Police located the suspect nearby and took him into custody. The Canine Unit located a knife and cash, believed to have been abandoned by the suspect.
An 18-year-old man is charged with Robbery and Breach of Probation. He was also found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest.
