One man is in custody today after refusing to stop for Police.

At approximately 12:05 a.m., January 6, 2021, Patrol officers observed a stolen blue 2006 Nissan Altima at 39th Street and Idylwyld Drive North. A traffic stop was attempted but the vehicle fled north on Highway 12, at a high rate of speed. Police observed the vehicle turn west off of the highway and enter a yard on Township Road 394. Members of the Corman Park Police Service attended to assist. Upon entering the yard, the suspect vehicle was located parked at a residence. The suspect was located on the deck where he was arrested without incident and transported to SPS Detention. A discarded machete was located nearby.

A 39-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000, Dangerous Driving, Evade Police, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Breach of Probation and Breach of Release.
