Fraud Prevention Month

March is Fraud Prevention Month, and in the ongoing effort to prevent frauds and protect Saskatoon citizens and businesses, the Saskatoon Police Service has several activities planned.

Secure bins for the shredding of personal documents have been placed in the lobby of SPS headquarters. These bins will be accessible to the public for the entire month of March.

On Wednesday, March 3rd and 10th, Economic Crime Investigators will be participating in Twitter chats with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 12:00 pm. The topics will include buying and selling online and online financial scams, respectively. Members of the public are invited to join in the conversation by following the hashtag #fraudchat on Twitter.

We invite the community to tune into our social media throughout the month as we highlight other fraud prevention tips and strategies.
