Four people are facing drug-trafficking charges following a traffic stop early this morning.
At approximately 4:50 a.m., March 3, 2021, Patrol officers observed activity consistent with drug trafficking. A traffic stop was conducted on a 2004 black Toyota Camry in the 500 block of Avenue X South. All four occupants were arrested from the vehicle and found to be breaching court-ordered conditions or had warrants for their arrest. They were also found in possession of a handgun, 59g of methamphetamine, bear spray, knives, over $3000 CAD and multiple cell phones. The Canine Unit also located 14g of cocaine inside the vehicle.
A 37-year-old Yorkton, SK man, a 28-year-old Prince Albert, SK woman and two Saskatoon men, ages 30 and 43, are all charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. They are also facing charges of Possession of Dangerous Weapons, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime and Breach of Probation.
The 43-year-old man is facing a number of firearms-related offences.
