Two people are facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop last night.

Shortly before 11:00 p.m., March 14, 2021, patrol officers conducted a traffic stop at Quebec Avenue and 33rd Street after it was determined the registered owner of the vehicle had a suspended license. Further investigation found that the 41-year-old man operating the vehicle was breaching court orders and the passenger, a 34-year-old woman, to be wanted on criminal code warrants. Inside the vehicle, officers located approximately $1100 in cash in plain view. Police also located a box that contained 15 grams of methamphetamine, four grams of fentanyl, and packaging materials consistent with drug trafficking.

Both are charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl, and breaching court orders. The 34-year-old woman faces additional charges of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Carry Concealed Weapon. (Court Info #'s 991155879, 991155880, 991155878).
