Investigators with the Major Crime Section have charged a 40-year-old man with second degree murder. The charge is in relation to the March 23rd death of a 36-year-old man.
The accused will make his first court appearance this afternoon.

The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section is investigating the city’s fourth homicide of 2021.
The 36-year-old man who was transported to hospital yesterday, succumbed to his injuries.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., March 24, 2021, members of Guns and Gangs Unit arrested a 40-year-old male suspect. Charges are pending as the investigation continues. Police are not seeking any additional suspects at this time.

Shortly after 4:00 PM on Tuesday afternoon, March 23, police were called to the 200 block of Ave. D North regarding some sort of disturbance where someone had been injured.
Police and Emergency Services personnel responded. A 36 year old man was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services West with life-threatening injuries.
Patrol officers as well as members of the Forensic Identification Section and the Major Crime Section are on scene and the investigation is continuing. More details will be released when available.
