Two people are facing drug trafficking-related charges following a traffic stop last night.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a stolen black Ford Escape in the 400 block of Avenue R South. Two occupants were taken into custody without incident. Inside the vehicle, Police located bear spray, knives, prepackaged methamphetamine and fentanyl and other evidence related to drug trafficking.

A 31-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man are charged with Possession of Fentanyl/Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime. They are also facing numerous other charges including Breach of Release and weapons-related offences.
