A 19-year-old man is facing drug- and weapons-related charges following an investigation by the Guns & Gangs Unit over the weekend.
Members of the Guns & Gang Unit received information that a man was in possession of several firearms. As a result of further investigation, a traffic stop was conducted at approximately 6:45 p.m., April 16, 2021, where a 19-year-old man was arrested. He was in possession of a large sum of cash. A search warrant was executed on two vehicles and an apartment in the 400 block of 4th Avenue North. Police seized two loaded restricted handguns that had the serial numbers filed off. Police also seized various ammunition, cannabis, cocaine, codeine, and approximately $3880 in cash.
The 19-year-old is charged with several firearms and drug offences. (Court Info # 991158505, 991158507)
