A 42 year old Saskatoon woman is facing charges and Police are looking for a 33 year old Saskatoon woman following an evade police incident overnight.
At approximately 1:00 a.m. a Chevrolet Equinox was seen driving erratically at Preston Avenue an 8th Street East. A patrol officer identified it as an unregistered vehicle and attempted a traffic stop at Preston Avenue and 7th Street East. While the officer dealt with the occupants, the driver exited the vehicle and the passenger slid over into the driver's seat. As she attempted to drive away the officer reached inside in an attempt to turn the engine off. The woman accelerated and drove a short distance before the officer was able to disengage himself from the vehicle. The woman then fled the scene. The vehicle was located several minutes later, abandoned on Shannon Crescent. The officer was not injured.
A search of the vehicle and the occupants' belongings resulted in Police locating .2 grams of methamphetamine, open liquor and ID belonging to another person.
The 42 year old woman is facing a charge of Possession of Identity Documents Relating to Another Person and Possession of Methamphetamine.
