A 25 year old man is facing numerous firearms charges after being arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Shorty after 9:00 p.m. on January 11, 2021, patrol officers observed a male in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West who they recognized as having a warrant for his arrest. The male fled on foot in an attempt to evade police but was unsuccessful. Officers caught up to the male and arrested him without incident. Officers were made aware that the male had discarded a firearm while he fled. A loaded sawed off .22 calibre rifle was located.

The male will be remain in custody until being brought before a Judge on January 12, 2021.
