Members of the Serious Assault Unit are investigating a firearms incident that occurred on Saturday.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., May 8, 2021, Patrol officers were dispatched to an injured person call in the 200 block of Grant Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 29-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It was reported to Police that a number of individuals entered into the victim’s residence and assaulted him before fleeing.

No suspect descriptions are available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
