The Saskatoon Police Service is responding to a protest at the Vimy Memorial on Spadina Crescent this afternoon. Traffic restrictions have been put in place and people are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
Police wish to remind those considering attending this afternoon’s rally that they could face charges for violating The Public Health Act. As in the past, the investigation is expected to continue post-event. It remains the SPS’s approach to continue attempts to find a balance between ensuring the general safety of the community at large and protecting the rights of people to express their opinion in a safe manner.
