On August 22, 2022, the woman believed to be the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal collision in May of 2021 self-attended to the Edmonton Police Service to turn herself in.

Chasity Erin KYPLAIN, now age 38, is charged with failing to remain at the scene of a collision which resulted in the death of a person; the collision occurred on May 10, 2021 in the 3200 block of 33rd Street West and killed a 33-year-old woman.

KYPLAIN will appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court today, August 23, 2022 at 9:30 a.m..

One year later, the Saskatoon Police Service is renewing its request for public assistance in locating a woman believed to be the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal collision in May of 2021.

Chasity Erin KYPLAIN, now age 37, is wanted for failing to remain at the scene of a collision that occurred on May 10, 2021 in the 3200 block of 33rd Street West and killed a 33-year-old woman. Police are also still trying to locate a blue 2007 Jeep Compass that was involved in the fatal collision. The vehicle may have been displaying an Alberta license plate at the time and may still be visibly damaged.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Chasity Erin KYPLAIN or the location of the involved Jeep is asked to contact the SPS at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. A photo is attached for distribution.

Saskatoon Police are continuing their attempts to locate a woman who was believed to be the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision in May.  An appeal for information at the time did result in some tips, however they have not been successful. 

Chasity Erin KYPLAIN, age 36, is wanted for failing to remain at the scene of the accident which occurred on May 10, 2021 in the 3200 block of 33rd Street East.  A 33 year old woman was killed in the collision.  Police are also trying to locate a blue, 2007 Jeep Compass that was involved in the collision.  Anyone with information regarding Chasity Kyplain's whereabouts or the location of the vehicle is asked to contact the SPS at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Investigators with the SPS Major Crime Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman, believed to be the driver of a vehicle, involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision on May 10, 2021.

An arrest warrant for Failing to Remain at the Scene of an Accident has been issued for 36-year-old, Chasity Erin KYPLAIN. A photo is attached for distribution. Anyone with information on the location of Kyplain is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Police continue to search for the blue, 2007 Jeep Compass that was involved in the collision.

The Saskatoon Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle believed to have been involved in a fatal collision, last week.

Police are seeking a blue, 2007 Jeep Compass. The vehicle may have an Alberta licence plate on it and is likely to have visible front-end damage. The back window may be missing and covered with plastic. A photo is attached for distribution.

On May 10, 2021 at 9:15 p.m. the Saskatoon Police Service received a call about a hit and run accident where someone had been injured. Patrol attended to the 3200 block of 33rd Street where they located a female who had severe life threatening injuries.

Medavie Health Services and the Saskatoon Fire Department attended to the scene and performed life saving measures but the female succumbed to her injuries.

The Collision Analyst Unit is currently at the scene investigating.
