On May 29, 2021 at 1:17 a.m., Saskatoon Police Service members with the Tactical Support Unit conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle at 17th St W/Ave N S.

The male driver and lone occupant of the vehicle ran from the traffic stop. He was immediately arrested without incident as he attempted to go in a nearby residence. Officers located a sawed off shotgun in the vehicle.

The driver, a 24 year old male is charged with numerous firearm offences, breach of probation, and also had a warrant for his arrest for being unlawfully at large. He will remain in custody until being seen by a Justice of the Peace this evening.
