A man was arrested yesterday afternoon after reportedly pointing a firearm at people.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., June 1, 2021, Patrol members were dispatched to a weapons complaint at Avenue P South and 21st Street West. It was reported to Police that a man was seen carrying a gun and pointing it at people. The male suspect was located crossing the street at Avenue N South and 20th Street West. He was believed to under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody without incident. A sawed-off shotgun was located in the male’s bag he was carrying.

A 26-year-old man is facing eight firearms-related charges including Pointing a Firearm.
