Four people are facing drug trafficking and weapons-related charges following a traffic stop yesterday.

At approximately 5:00 p.m., Police observed a suspicious 2002 Chevrolet Malibu leave a pub in the 2400 block of 22nd Street West. A traffic stop was conducted near Avenue P and 22nd Street West. Open alcohol was observed inside the vehicle with the four occupants. They were all arrested without incident. Inside the car and on the suspect’s persons, officers located a can of bear spray, six knives, a conducted energy weapon (CEW), meth, cocaine, cannabis, cash, a scale and other items consistent with drug trafficking.

Three women, ages 39, 38 and 32 and a 38 year old man, are all charged with Possession of Methamphetamine/Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and numerous weapons-related offences. Other charges include Unlawful Possession of Cannabis for Sale and Breach of Probation.
