Update - Arrests - Stabbing Investigation - 100 Block 109th Street

Members of the Saskatoon Police Guns & Gangs Unit have arrested two suspects who were wanted for attempted murder in connection to a stabbing on May 22, 2021.

The first suspect was arrested at approximately 10:00 p.m., June 9, 2021, after investigators conducted a high risk traffic stop on a taxi in the 1400 block of 11th Street West. A male, 25, and a female, 33, were arrested without incident and a loaded, sawed-off shotgun was located in the vehicle. A picture of the weapon is attached for distribution.

The second suspect, 35-years-old, was arrested this morning after exiting a residence in the 1500 block of Rayner Avenue.

The two men are charged with Attempted Murder, Utter Threats and Robbery in relation to the May 22, 2021 incident.

The 25-year-old man and 33-year-old woman are facing numerous firearms-related offences in connection to their arrest last night.

The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating after two males were stabbed in a residence in the 100 block of 109 St W.

Both males aged 37 and 39, sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for assessment.

Two suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.
