Two Saskatoon males, ages 23 and 17 are facing sexual assault and child pornography charges following an incident that occurred earlier this month.
On June 8, 2021, Police were called to Royal University Hospital where a 15-year-old female was being treated for non life-threatening injuries. It was reported that the girl had been picked up from her home around midnight, June 7, 2021 and taken to a location along the riverbank where she was encouraged to consume alcohol. She then was sexually assaulted by two males and left at the location in a vulnerable state. She was discovered some time later by a passerby who called for help. The girl has since recovered from her physical injuries. The two are also facing charges of voyeurism.
Investigators with the SPS Child Centre believe there may be other girls or women in the community who have been victimized in a similar way. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
