The Saskatoon Police Service attended to an address in the 500 block of Av W S at 10:26 this evening for a fire alarm.

Investigation showed that someone had created a false alarm by pulling the fire alarm.

A 37 year old male was identified as being responsible. Officers attempted to arrest the man and a struggle ensued. Two Conducted Energy Weapons were deployed as well as several officers were required to take the man into custody. One officer sustained an injury. The suspect and officer both went to the hospital.

The 37 year old man was charged with Assault Police Officer x 2, mischief and weapons offences. He should be in court in the morning.
