An 18 year old Saskatoon man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed overnight.

Just before midnight, July 9, 2021, Police received a report of a stabbing in the 3100 block of Laurier Dr. Upon arrival at the location officers found an injured male suffering from non life-threatening stab wounds. Further investigation led officers to a residence in the 3200 block of 33rd St. W where a 13 year old male suspect was located and arrested.

The youth is in custody charged with Aggravated Assault, Breach of Release Order, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.

In addition to this occurrence, charges of Assault with a Weapon and Breach of a Release Order have also been laid against the 13 year old male for a separate incident that occurred on June 21, 2021 in the 2400 block of 22nd St. W where he attempted to stab a 13 year old female.

The youth is currently being held awaiting appearance before a Justice of the Peace later today.
