An 18 year old Saskatoon male is in police custody after a disturbance at a residence in the 500 block of Ave. H S.

At. aprox. 1700hrs. on 2021, July 11, police were called to deal with an intoxicated male causing a disturbance and damaging property at a residence in the 500 block of Ave. H S. Shortly after police arrived on scene, the subject male caused what are believed to be minor injuries to the head of a 5 year old boy in the residence, a large kitchen knife was used. The suspect male then struggled with officers who attempted to arrest him.

The parties involved in the incident are known to each other.

The young boy has had his injuries treated at the hospital. The suspect has also been taken to the hospital due to what is believed to be extreme drug intoxication. Charges against the suspect of aggravated assault, resist arrest and breach of probation are pending.
