Two men were arrested following a hit and run collision involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle.
At approximately 9:40 p.m. on July 28, 2021, the Saskatoon Police Service was called to the area of Spadina Crescent East and Ravine Drive for reports of a hit and run collision involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle. It was reported that the northbound motorcycle was struck by a passenger vehicle which then fled the scene. Within minutes, members of the Air Support Unit located the suspect vehicle travelling in the area of Mallin Crescent and Adilman Drive; it was observed to be driven at a high rate of speed before being intercepted by members of Patrol in a parking lot located in the 2800 block of Wanuskewin Road.
As a result of subsequent investigation, a 21 year-old Duck Lake man is charged with Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm, Drive While Exceed 80mgs of Alcohol, Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident that Resulted in Bodily Harm, and Assault Causing Bodily Harm. A 24 year-old Duck Lake man has been charged with Utter Threats to Cause Death and was later released on an undertaking.
The 43 year-old motorcycle operator was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services West with what are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
