Police responded to a weapons complaint yesterday afternoon and located a loaded firearm.

Shortly before 4:00 p.m., August 5, 2021, Police responded to a report of a man with a firearm outside of an apartment building in the 700 block of 5th Avenue North. Upon arrival, they found several individuals who were initially detained for a weapons investigation but were subsequently released after they were found to not be in possession of any weapons. Further investigation located a loaded firearm and bear spray in an unoccupied suite.

No charges have been laid at this time.
