One man was arrested and found to be in possession of weapons following a disturbance that originated in the 2900 block of 7th Street East.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on August 17, 2021, Police received a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance in the 2900 block of 7th Street East; information gathered indicated the possibility of a firearm present. Responding officers quickly located the suspect, who had left the address of origin, in the 1200 block of Arlington Avenue where he then struggled with officers before an arrest was effected. The suspect was found to be in possession of an unloaded, sawed-off, semi-automatic rifle and a throwing knife; these items were seized by Police.

As a result, a 21 year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with multiple weapons-related offences and was also found to be breaching court imposed conditions.
