A 46 year old woman is recovering from a non life-threatening gunshot would following a report of an injured person last night.

Just before 11:00 p.m., Sept. 1, 2021, Police were called to a business on Idylwyld Drive North. When they arrived the woman reported that she had been walking on Idylwyld between Minto Place and Stanley Place when an unknown male approached and asked her for money. When she refused the male shot her.

Very few descriptive details are available. The male was reportedly dressed in dark clothing, wearing a hat and carrying a backpack.
