One man is facing weapons-related charges following a disturbance in which a firearm was observed.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on September 5, 2021, Police were called to the area of the Broadway Bridge for a report of two men who were observed to be in possession of a firearm and causing a disturbance. Officers attended to the area and spotted the suspects entering into an apartment building located in the 600 block of 8th Street East. Subsequent investigation found that one of the two was in possession of an imitation firearm.

As a result, a 20 year-old Saskatoon man was arrested without incident and is charged with possession of an imitation of a weapon dangerous to public peace. He was also found to be breaching his probation order. The imitation firearm was seized by Police.
