Saskatoon Police are investigating after there were two reported armed robberies this morning.
At approximately 10:30 a.m., January 25, 2021, Police responded to a pharmacy in the 1200 block of Idylwyld Drive after two men entered the store and brandished a firearm. They were unsuccessful in gaining access to a safe and initial investigation believes that they fled in a vehicle. (21-8502)
Then, at approximately 11:15 a.m., another pharmacy in the 200 block of Acadia Drive reported that two men entered the store and attempted to gain access to a safe. A firearm was discharged in the process, but no one was injured. The two suspects again are suspected to have fled in a vehicle. (21-8511)
One suspect is described as wearing a black hoodie, black "fitted" sweat pants, black toque and gloves. The second male suspect is described as wearing a burgundy-coloured hoodie and pants, white running shoes, a black or blue toque, and was seen carrying a black bag. Both suspects were wearing blue medical masks.
A description of the vehicle is not available at this time.
