A 20-year-old man is facing charges after being found in possession of a firearm on Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 3:40 p.m., October 3, 2021, it was reported that a man was handling a firearm in the 1300 block of 20th Street West. When police arrived in the area, they located a male who matched the initial suspect description, and found him to be in possession of a firearm. While he was being taken into custody, officers also found him to be in possession of an expandable baton and methamphetamine. The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicant.

The 20-year-old is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (x2), Carrying Concealed Weapon (x2), Obstruction, and Possession of Methamphetamine. (Court Info # 991175010, 991175009)
