A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged over the weekend after failing to stop for police.

At approximately 12:50 a.m., November 14, 2021, Patrol officers attempted a traffic stop on a 2015 Honda CRV at 21st Street and Avenue R South. The vehicle instead accelerated at high rates of speed. It was later located, abandoned, after having collided with a power pole at 31st Street West and Avenue L North. A man matching the description of the driver was located a short distance away and taken into custody.

The 28-year-old is charged with Dangerous Driving, Evade Police, and breach of court orders. He was also arrested on outstanding warrants. (Court Info # 991179455)
