Two women have been arrested following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit.
On January 28, 2021, members of the SPS Drug Unit observed two women operating a vehicle and making stops that were consistent with drug trafficking. As a result, a traffic stop was initiated shortly before 11:00 a.m. in a parking lot in the 2300 block of 8th Street East. The two women were taken into custody and police seized 59.8 grams of cocaine, 3 three cell phones, a meth pipe, and $970 in cash.
As a result, a search warrant was executed on a residence in the 200 block of 3rd Street East at approximately 11:15 p.m., where police seized 515.5 grams of methamphetamine, 145 grams of cocaine, a scale, and drug packaging and paraphernalia.
Both women, ages 38 and 24, are charged with; Trafficking Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Methamphetamine, and Possession of Proceeds of Crime.
The 24-year-old woman faces additional charges of failing to abide by court orders.
