A 17-year-old girl is facing charges after stealing a vehicle and fleeing from police last night.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., January 31, 2021, a Black Audi was reported stolen from the 400 block of Cumberland Avenue North. Police located the vehicle travelling southbound on Wiggins Avenue near 14th Street. A traffic stop was attempted however the vehicle fled and was observed driving erratically. The driver struck two police vehicles and a building in the 1700 block of Ontario Avenue before coming to a stop. The driver, and lone occupant of the vehicle, then attempted to flee on foot before being taken into custody by officers a short distance away.

The 17-year-old female is charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle, Evade Police, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and breach of court orders. (Court Info #: 991152748).
