A 28 year old male is facing charges following a report of a disturbance that resulted in Police deploying a Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW).

At approximately 4:36a.m., on February 3, 2021, Police received a call of a male causing a disturbance in the 500blk Cope Way. Officers attended and located a male who had caused significant damage to the suite. The male became aggressive with police while holding shards of glass in his hands. The officer deployed a CEW and the male was taken into custody without further incident.

The man is now facing charges of mischief under $5000 and possession of a controlled substance. He will be attending court this afternoon.

The incident will be reviewed in accordance with policy.
