A police patrol vehicle and a Medavie Health Services ambulance were involved in a collision over the noon hour today.

Shortly after 12:00 p.m., February 5, 2021, a police vehicle was traveling westbound on 25th Street approaching 2nd Avenue as it was responding with emergency equipment activated to a weapons-related call. At the same time, an ambulance, also with its emergency equipment activated, was travelling southbound on 2nd Avenue. The two emergency vehicles were involved in a collision while crossing through the 2nd Avenue intersection. There were no injuries as a result, and the ambulance was not carrying a passenger.
