Two women are facing impaired driving charges after a traffic stop and an evade police incident early this morning.

At approximately 2:10 a.m., February 12, 2021, Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a white 2020 Jeep Compass operated by a suspected impaired driver. The driver pulled over in an alley near Avenue B North and 25th Street East. The 26-year-old woman was arrested without incident and charged with dangerous driving as well as two impaired driving-related charges. Open alcohol was seized from inside the vehicle. A passenger entered the driver seat and subsequently fled the scene. The vehicle was observed being driven erratically before it became stuck in an empty lot near 22nd Street West and Witney Avenue. Police conducted a high-risk vehicle stop and two females were arrested without further incident.

A 25-year-old woman is charged with Dangerous Driving, Evade Police, Impaired Driving, Refusal to Comply and Obstruction.

A 29-year-old woman was released without charges.
